Monday, Psalm Chapter 125
Psalm 125
Verse 1
Jeanie Boldt

Verse 1:  Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.

THOUGHT
I believe this verse speaks of our Christian Sister in Jamaica’s faith. She believes her God is her protector and provider. There are many days when God is all she has. She knows that He is always there and cannot be shaken or taken from her. God is the constant in her world of survival. Learning to trust in Him is how we learn to depend on Him as our best friend.

There have been moments in my life when I have had to humanely go to Him. I have cried out on a walk. I have driven to a church parking lot and sat in the car and prayed and read the scripture verse on their sign over and over again. I have cried out to Him in my car, at a park and sitting in church.

I always knew He heard me, and no matter where I was, and what my needs were, HE WAS THE CONSTANT in my life. He will endure forever.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for being our CONSTANT. Thank You for being our light in the darkness, our strength when we are weak, our smile when our heart is breaking, our friend when we are completely alone, our provider when we have no visible source of income, our Joy when our heart is broken and our Hope when trust has been taken from us. Help us to always remember that YOU ENDURE FOREVER.  In The Name of Jesus.  AMEN

Tuesday, Psalm Chapter 126
Psalm 126
Verse 3
Jeanie Boldt

Verse 3:  The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with JOY.

THOUGHT
My nurse friend Cheryl passed into Heaven today at 11:00 AM. After a 2 year journey with a brain tumor, she is now in the presence of the Lord this evening. I needed to write the devotions today for I came home wanting to be in the Word. Verse 3 so says it all. For by the Lord’s sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ, we can be filled with JOY and be looking forward to our time with Him that will never come to an end.  As I look back on this journey that so many of my nurse friends walked with Cheryl on, I see how God was with her each step of the way.  Her husband was able to retire to care for her, they had purchased a home all on one level, she got to see her 3rd grandchild be born and never had to suffer undo pain or many seizures. The Joy of Him covers all our sorrows.

PRAYER
Father, be with all those who are grieving a loss this day.  Help them see that our Lord and Savior can change our mourning into dancing.  Help us to praise You in all things.  Help us remember that You have done great things.  May we be Joyful always.  In the Name of Jesus.  AMEN

Wednesday, Psalm Chapter 127
Psalm 127
Verse 1a
Jeanie Boldt

Verse 1a:  Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.

THOUGHT
This verse spoke heavily since Tanya and Alan are making a move and beginning a new home, career and opportunity in Des Moines. Tanya has prayed about it and has made it this far because of the faith she has in the Lord. She knows that without Him, she and Alan could not have done everything that has happened so far. (New healthy baby, interviewing, vacation, getting the house ready, showing the house, resigning from jobs, getting daycare and schools set up for the kids, seeking housing arrangements until they can get one of their own, preparing for the move, working part time at the their Wichita jobs and orienting new people to them).

What good would all of this have been without the Lord with them? Long hours and sleepless nights are a waste apart from the blessing of the Lord. How thankful I am that they have God Our Father to guide them along. He will accompany them in this journey and then settle with them in the middle of their home when they find lodging.

They will have not labored in vain. Knowing this not only helps Tanya and the family but we who love them. We know they are in good hands. Thank You for putting them closer to us.

PRAYER
Thank You, Lord, for being in our presence. Please cover each of the Salt Shakers but especially be accompanying Tanya and Alan and Children. Keep their faith strong. Thank You for the work of the Holy Spirit as it called many to the Bible School in Jamaica this week. May the program and praise time be so filled that hearts and souls will be won to Christ. AMEN

Thursday, Psalm Chapter 128
Psalm 128
Verse 6
Jeanie Boldt

Verse 6:  May you live to see your children’s children.

THOUGHT
What a JOY it is to meet your grandchildren for the first time and then experience a growing relationship as they mature. I can’t help but think of my mom. Oh how she would have loved to experience her grandchildren’s college graduations, weddings and then great grandchildren.

It is with PRIDE that I feel blessed to have Sierra, Crystal, and Tony to love and cherish. I just wish Gram could have met them. However, I feel in my heart she is praying daily for each of them.

Delores has totally been blessed for she has gotten to enjoy many grandchildren and great grandchildren. May our health not fail us. May we remain strong and in love.

PRAYER
Father in Heaven, this verse makes me realize how absolutely elated you must feel after a birth here on earth. You get to enjoy generation after generation for You created all of us just for that purpose. We thank You for our family and the little ones that are now being added.  May we be blessed with many years of enjoyment. Help us to guide and love them in a righteous way.  In the Name of Jesus.  AMEN

Friday, Psalm Chapter 129
Psalm 129
Verse 2
Jane Jones
Verse 2:  “They have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me."

THOUGHT
People of Israel were persecuted, but never destroyed completely. Christians have faced times of severe persecution, but the church has never been destroyed.

Ms Therm from Jamaica refers to her church as living on forever and ever. She talks about her church as being her salvation and strength.  When you stop and think about it, Jesus built his church on this rock and even the gates of hell has not overcome it. It will live on forever and forever.

PRAYER
We pray this evening in thanks, praise and gratitude for the church of Jesus Christ around the world. It has never died. It continues to live strong and is alive and well, even in Jamaica.  Lord, lead us through tomorrow with Your guiding hand. In the Blood of Jesus.  AMEN
