269th Week, Psalm Chapters 112-116 (Click on Title for Video Introduction)

  Click on Title for Video Intro Monday, Psalm Chapter 112 Psalm 112 Verse 7 Jeanie Boldt Verse 7:  He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. THOUGHT When I read this chapter, this is the verse that I already had underlined. I have been there. I am sure that you have waited in anticipation for an answer or outcome about a situation. I dwelt in a time of unknown and uncertainty for over a year and a half trusting totally in the Lord.  Each day there was hope because of Our God.  However, when the day would end without a spoken word of ‘love’, there was no fear for I was steadfast in my faith with our Lord and Savior. Click on title for Video Intro Monday, Psalm Chapter 107 Psalm 107  Jane Jones THOUGHT Psalm 107 speaks of four different types of people in distress and how God rescues them all. They are wanderers, prisoners, the sick, and the storm-tossed. No matter how extreme our calamity, God is able to break through to help us. He is loving and kind to those who are distressed. The verse, “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress”, was repeated four different times, and the Lord always came to their rescue. God has done so much for us, and we have so much for which to thank Him. These four different types of people typify anyone who has not found the satisfaction that comes from knowing God. What has God done for you? Is there someone you can tell? I couldn’t help but think of Rory, my brother-in-law, as I read this devotional. March 22 was Rory’s 43rd AA birthday.
