Monday, Ezekiel Chapter 35
Ezekiel 35
Verse 6
Jane Jones

Verse 6:  “Therefore as surely as I live,” declares the Sovereign Lord, “I will give you over to bloodshed and it will pursue you. Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you.”

THOUGHT
Have you ever done or said anything unkind that came back to bite you in the back the following day??? Have you ever done anything to get even with someone that you disagreed with only to have the problem arise again bigger the second time??? Have you ever mistreated someone so badly one day to find the next day you were treated likewise??

God has a way of turning our treatment of others into a boomerang so we must be careful in our judgment of others. What kind of boomerangs do we have out there that are waiting to come back to us??

PRAYER
Dear Lord, tonight I can’t help but think of the boomerangs I have out there in space waiting to come back at me. Are they good boomerangs??? Favors I did for others so that favors may come back on me.  Or are they bad boomerangs??? Bad deeds done to others that may come back on me?? Lord, please help us direct good boomerangs all day. We love You. AMEN

Tuesday, Ezekiel Chapter 36
Ezekiel 36
Verse 32
Jane Jones

Verse 32:  This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt.”

Additional thought from Jeanie today, November 10, 2025.  This church in Jamaica was being improved with additions back on August 23, 2010.  Now, with the recent hurricane, damage has been done but our God is still alive.  Please remember Christ Church in Haddington in your prayers.  Please pray for the leaders, members, and those who praise God even in the depths of catastrophes.

THOUGHT
I couldn’t help but think back on the past week in Jamaica. It seems like I have so many stories of God at work to share with you. But through all of you, God is rebuilding the Haddington Church because of your generosity. He is making it whole again and even adding on an addition. In the verse above, it is all about the word ‘rebuilt’.

I am going to send several pictures of the addition which is almost, almost, I say, completed. They are to the point that all that has to be done is installation of the windows and the room will be ready to use for the youth,  the Sunday school, and the computer lab. They feel the tile floor can go down any time.

It has been a work in progress. However, every time we go down, there is more and more completed. The elders said that the cement for the roof was raised up, but all the rest of the cement work was put in buckets and hoisted up in a manual pulley system. Totally amazing! TJ said that had to have been a lot of work...very hard work.

Anyway, the elders want to do a building dedication when completed, and they want us to come. We asked them how much they were talking about money wise to purchase the remaining eight windows so that the building could start being used. $300/window.

We went back to the resort and started sharing our story. We have contributions for 5 of the eight windows to date. Our goal is all eight windows by Christmas. God is not small. He is so large and so at work in people that He makes projects seem small.

So Ezekiel talks about rebuild-rebuilt...rebuilding when we are cleansed from our sins, inside out. Thank you, Salt Shakers, for living a cleansing life and for giving from your heart. Congratulations!!! You have built a church in Jamaica.

PRAYER
Thank you, God, for introducing me to my friend, Ms. Therm, and for the gentle nudge to make a difference. I never dreamed that the Salt Shakers would put on an addition to a church, but we did. Was that Your purpose for me meeting Ms. Therm?  We may never know...just thanks for all the blessings and the ride. AMEN

Wednesday, Ezekiel Chapter 37
Ezekiel 37
Verse 14
Jeanie Boldt

Verse 14:  “I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own Land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it.” declares the Lord.

THOUGHT
This chapter is all about the work of the Holy Spirit. This is about how God has breathed the Breath of Life into man at creation (Gen. 2:7), into the Word when it was written (2 Tim. 3:16), and upon the disciples to empower them for ministry (John 20:22). It will one day sweep over God’s chosen people and make them a new nation. He has not given up nor should we.

In my last Beth Moore class she shared a great example of our inner being. She shares about how we fill it with so many things.  A lot of them are good but some are not as good for us. As she filled this vase full of things there were so many cracks that clearly showed how our heart, soul or inner being is. We must fill all the open spaces with the only thing that is fulfilling to our heart, soul and mind - The Holy Spirit. Each day as you leave your garage, ask the Holy Spirit to fill you so full that there is no room for the evil one to get in.

God longs to send the “wind of revival” to His church and His people, and He will if we honor His Word, pray, and depend on the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER
Father God, breathe into each of us a refreshing breath of Life - the only life that can fill our empty cracks and spaces.  We are so anxious for the whole world to be living on the air that YOU provide for our souls. We need you. BREATHE ON US, BREATH OF GOD. In His Glorious Name. AMEN

Thursday, Ezekiel Chapter 38
 Ezekiel 38
Verse 21
Jeanie Boldt

Verse 21:  I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord.

THOUGHT
This chapter clearly reminds us that we want to be on God’s side in the end. After reading this chapter, I visualize that Gog is a symbol of all the evil in the world. It represents all the opposing forces that God must defend. What is some of the Gog in your life? What must we rid ourselves of so that God will not oppose us but defend us in the end?

Do we allow pride to run our daily life? Does jealousy creep in when we see others who seem to have more than we do?  Gossip can rule our tongues and be a large part of the Gog. Do we allow worldly things to creep in and take over as priority instead of keeping our eyes on Jesus? Are we ashamed to proclaim that our Lord and Savior is our best friend? Do we keep the news of God’s saving grace to ourselves? Do we forget the sick, hungry or the poor?

Salt Shakers, we must rid ourselves of the Gog in our lives and live for the one and only God. Regardless of when this battle will occur, the message is clear. God will deliver His people. Those who believe in Him and put Him first will live. There will be no enemy that can stand above the power of our God and Master.

PRAYER
We are amazed at Your strength and power yet love the gentleness of Your faithful love. We ask forgiveness of all the Gog in our lives. We want to be with You in the end and enjoy Your everlasting gift. Give us direction and strength and the desire to know You more and better with each passing moment.  Let us know what the desire of Your heart is for us. We stand amazed at You, the One and Only. AMEN

Friday, Ezekiel Chapter 39
Ezekiel 39
Verse 7
Jeanie Boldt

Verse 7:  “I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel.”

THOUGHT
Does anyone tire of hearing the Lord’s name, “God”, used inappropriately? So many people have to begin a sentence with it or make a point with it. It is used in anger or surprise or joy. You hear it on TV Shows and Movies. God is “the only one” and deserves to be exalted to the highest of heights.  The name belongs to Him and Him alone. The name should be spoken only in reference, prayer and thanksgiving. It can be directed to Him when you are wanting time with Him no matter what the circumstance.

Rory and I enjoy watching a reality show that is called Home Makeover - I believe. It is about a person who is underprivileged and lives in a very rundown, small place. However, their goodness shines through because they have learned to overcome all obstacles. A few weeks ago there was a family
with teenage children who received a complete home makeover. During the first of the show I never heard any of them use “God” as they shared. I thought it would eventually come out as they were shown their new home. Low and behold - it did not. They said “How awesome”, “Oh, my gosh.”, “I can’t believe it.” and did not have to say, “Oh, my God.” - “God, did you see that.” - etc. It was refreshing.

I pray that we make a conscious effort to use His Name only in a reference that refers to Him as “HOLY”. God will pour out His Spirit on each of us when we do so.

PRAYER
Holy One, thank You for being our God and loving us so much. Forgive us when we do not return the love with reference and awe!!! You are so very special and loved so much by all of us from the very deep part of our heart and soul. Continue to lead me in the right direction for our thoughts this week. May we be looking forward to learning from the book of John.  May our nation make the right health decision that will be of benefit to us all.  In the Name of Jesus.  AMEN
