And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.  THOUGHT I love the thought of Christ's love compelling us. I would like to say that I am constantly compelled by Christ's love, but unfortunately that's not the case. Christ's love should be controlling our lives. Christ died for all of us. As a result, we should not be living for ourselves but for Christ. We should be sharing the love of Christ with everyone we meet through our actions, our words, and our lives. As is described in verse 20, we are to be ambassadors for Christ. That's the least we should be doing for all He has done for us, and it should be compelled by His love.  PRAYER  Dea...

Click on Title for Video Intro Monday, II Corinthians Introduction 2 Corinthians  Introduction Tanya Ruden THOUGHT I liked the intro of my Life Application Bible.  It reminded me a lot of life today with the cults and other ism's. Why is it so easy for those organizations to find followers? So often people, who feel lost or depressed, get into one of these groups and feel loved and part of a group and find themselves following a false God. These organizations are out on the streets talking with people who were like themselves. We are called to meet these people where they are and share the Gospel with them. We need to fill their loneliness with the one true God and denounce these false Gods, something Paul was struggling with and addressing in these letters.  It also talks about Paul having to share his credentials as an apostle. It made me stop and think - what are my credentials as a Christian? Are they as simple as “I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savio...

Click on title for Video Introduction Monday, I Corinthians Chapter 14 I Corinthians 14 Verses 13-15 Delores Little Verses 13-15:  "For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says. For if I pray in a tongue, my Spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my Spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my Spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.” THOUGHT This is a gift I desire for myself. I do not interpret what others speak in tongues, only what I understand.  I do it mostly in prayer with God and me. There are people who can do the other.  I have heard and witnessed them, and it can be beautiful.  When Willie died, all I could pray in was tongues. Nothing else came out of me.  God would speak to me through tongues, and it helped me greatly. I do not do it in my church as they don't do it, and I would never make them feel uncomfortable. I, like Paul, would rat...

Click on Title for Video Intro Monday, I Corinthians Chapter 10 I Corinthians 10 Verse 13 Jane Jones Verse 13:  “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.  And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” THOUGHT Family, there is no greater assurance for us today.  The Bible tells us that GOD IS FAITHFUL.  And not only that, but that He will also provide a way out of our temptation.  All we have to do is follow his lead.  For example, how tempting it is sometimes to talk about a person who has wronged you in some way so that you can get even with him for the lies he shared with someone.  Your first instinct is to get even, to correct the lie with slander to a fellow co-worker.  But the Bible is very specific to tell us that God will provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.  Possibl...

Click on title for Video Intro Monday Chapter 5 I Corinthians 5 Verse 11 Jeanie Boldt Verse 11: “But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man, do not even eat.” THOUGHT The reading of this chapter may be a little confusing to a true believer. However, we must not take the words out of context. We must listen carefully to what Paul is saying. Sin in the life of the believer is far worse than sin in the life of an unbeliever. We cannot isolate ourselves from the world, but we can separate ourselves from disobedient believers so that God can discipline them. We need to love those who have done wrong and accept them back into the fold if they have admitted their wrong and asked forgiveness for their sins from God our Father and from those they have hurt.  If they refuse to admit the mistake and feel they are living the right ...
